During a C-section birth, several layers of tissue are cut through to birth the baby(ies). Often times as we heal, these layers of tissue can become adhered or stuck together. When this happens it can contribute to symptoms of lower back pain, abdominal weakness, urinary incontinence and the “shelf appearance” for some women.
Performing regular scar mobilization can help improve healing, reduce pain, improve sensation, soften the scar, and improve strength. In this 90 minute workshop, you’ll learn how to mobilize your own incision. We’ll go over the how, when and why of scar mobilization. We’ll also include mobility and strength exercises specific to post C-section birth.
